This publication was the first attempt to compile a comprehensive inventory of reference works in Québec, in the hope of creating a valuable research tool that would contribute to a better understanding of the culture of this French-speaking province.

The cover features a bold upper case R (for ‘Reference’) that is structured using simple geometric shapes — conveying a sense of carefully organizing various elements to create a clearer sense of meaning and understanding.
