A text book by Sir Isaac Pitman (Canada), published to conform with the Ontario Department of Education’s one year Introductory Course in Accounting and divided into three parts: Non-trading, Trading and Special Topics. Created at a time when the traditional role for those working in accounting had transitioned, with emphasis moving from one of compiling knowledge and of repetition or routine problems to one of understanding and interpretation.

The cover design  takes the three strands of content featured in the publication, and treats it in a graphic ‘target’ illustration, emphasizing the changing nature of accounting and how it ‘aims’ to connect the whole industry through interpretation and focus.
